Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms", "Terms of Service") carefully before using the Svar mobile application (the "Service") operated by Svar Labs ("us", "we", or "our").

Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms then you may not access the Service.

Accounts

When you create an account with us (via phone number verification), you must provide information that is accurate, complete, and current at all times. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of the Terms, which may result in immediate termination of your account on our Service.

You are responsible for safeguarding the device and the OTP (One-Time Password) process used to access the Service and for any activities or actions under your account. You agree not to disclose your OTP verification details to any third party. You must notify us immediately upon becoming aware of any breach of security or unauthorized use of your account.

Use License

Permission is granted to temporarily download one copy of the Svar app per device for personal, non-commercial transitory viewing only. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license you may not:

• modify or copy the materials;
• use the materials for any commercial purpose, or for any public display (commercial or non-commercial);
• attempt to decompile or reverse engineer any software contained within the Service;
• remove any copyright or other proprietary notations from the materials; or
• transfer the materials to another person or "mirror" the materials on any other server.

This license shall automatically terminate if you violate any of these restrictions and may be terminated by Svar Labs at any time.

Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding Content provided by users, such as input text), features and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Svar Labs and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

Generated Audio: The audio files generated from text input using the Service's local TTS engine are created and stored on your device. While you provide the input text, the specific audio output generated by our proprietary rule-based system remains part of the Service's functionality. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to use the input text and for the subsequent use of the generated audio files, which are stored locally under your control.

Service Provision and Modifications

The Svar App relies on local processing for its core TTS functionality. Backend services (Authentication, Metadata storage via Firestore) are provided using Firebase. Availability of these backend services depends on Firebase's uptime and policies.

We reserve the right to withdraw or amend our Service, and any service or material we provide via the Service, in our sole discretion without notice. We will not be liable if for any reason all or any part of the Service is unavailable at any time or for any period.

Disclaimer

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. Svar Labs makes no warranties, expressed or implied, and hereby disclaims and negates all other warranties including, without limitation, implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of intellectual property or other violation of rights.

Further, Svar Labs does not warrant or make any representations concerning the accuracy, likely results, or reliability of the use of the text-to-speech conversion or other materials on its Service or otherwise relating to such materials or on any sites linked to this site.

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Svar Labs or its suppliers be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use the materials or Service, even if Svar Labs or a Svar Labs authorized representative has been notified orally or in writing of the possibility of such damage.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Changes

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.

By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, please stop using the Service.
